VENTION PRINTER CABLE – 5M (Vention VAS-A16-B500, USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-B; newer SKU COQBJ)

This Vention printer cable is a 5-metre USB Type-A to Type-B lead for printers, scanners and external drives that sit well away from the computer. It is sold under the VAS-A16-B500 part number and the newer COQBJ SKU for the same specification. It runs USB 2.0 at up to 480Mbps over a tinned copper conductor, with double ferrite cores fitted at the ends to absorb electromagnetic noise over the longer distance, which is the part cheap long cables leave out. The jacket is PVC, with a flat-cable profile on the VAS-A16 variant that tapes down neatly along a skirting board. The interface is nickel-plated and the cable is rated for 2A. A one-year brand warranty applies. Five metres is the length that lets a shared printer live in a corner, on a separate table or on the other side of a small office rather than crowding the desk it serves. It is equally useful for a scanner set up near a window for better light, or an external drive tucked out of the way on a shelf.
