What each line on the sticker actually costs you

Where the money goes, in the order it matters for most buyers in Dhaka.

Spec What it changes day to day Enough Worth paying up
Memory How many things stay open before the machine starts swapping to disk. 8 GB 16 GB, always
Storage Boot and app launch speed. Capacity matters less than the interface. 512 GB NVMe 1 TB if you edit
Processor Sustained work, compiles, exports, spreadsheets with real data. Core i5 / Ryzen 5 H-series for load
Display Everything you look at for eight hours. Brightness beats resolution. FHD IPS 250 nit 300 nit + sRGB
Graphics Only games, 3D and video export. Nothing else touches it. Integrated RTX 4050 6 GB
Battery How far you get from a socket. Watt-hours, not vague claims. 42 Wh 60 Wh+

Four questions we ask at the counter

The same four, in the same order, every time someone walks in for a laptop. They settle most of the decision before we open a single lid.

Talk to a counter tech

For browsing, documents and classwork, yes, if it is dual-channel and the storage is NVMe. For anything with Docker, virtual machines or 4K video, 16 GB is the floor. Check whether the memory is soldered before you decide to upgrade later.

Only if you game, render 3D or export video weekly. Modern integrated graphics handle 4K playback, Photoshop and light Premiere work. A discrete GPU also costs you two hours of battery and adds fan noise.

More than one spec step. A three-year on-site ThinkPad or ProBook warranty means a technician visits your office; a one-year courier RMA means two weeks without a machine. We list the real coverage on every product page.

Last year's higher spec, nearly always. A 12th-gen i5 with 16 GB outperforms a 13th-gen i3 with 8 GB in every task that matters, and it usually costs less. The exception is battery: newer chips are genuinely more efficient.
