The full spec sheet
The HP Smart Tank 580 is a wireless all-in-one ink tank printer that prints, scans and copies from one compact body. Instead of cartridges it uses refillable tanks topped up from bottles, which is what keeps the running cost of regular black and colour printing sensible at home or in a small office. Print speed is rated at up to 12ppm in black and 5ppm in colour on the ISO measurement, with resolution up to 4800x1200dpi in colour and 1200x1200dpi in black. The flatbed scanner reads up to 1200dpi optical resolution for copies and scans. A fill of the high-yield bottles is rated for up to 8,000 black and 6,000 colour pages, so refilling is a rare event rather than a monthly errand. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct alongside USB 2.0, and phones and tablets print through the HP Smart app, Apple AirPrint and Mopria Print Service. It suits a household with school and university printing to do, a small office turning out invoices and letters, or a shop that needs copies on demand. Wireless setup through the HP Smart app lets several laptops and phones share one printer without cables strung across the room, and Wi-Fi Direct keeps printing possible when the router is off. The printer carries a two-year warranty: the standard hardware cover plus an additional year added when you register it with HP online.
