PRINTER CABLE – 1.5M (Generic/No-Brand USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-B)

This is the standard printer cable — a USB 2.0 lead with a Type-A plug for the computer and a square Type-B plug for the device — in a 1.5 meter length. It is the cable most desktop printers and scanners expect, and the usual replacement when the original has gone missing. Construction is straightforward: copper conductors under foil shielding, in a black PVC jacket. At 1.5 meters it reaches from a desktop tower to a printer on the same desk or a shelf beside it, without a longer cable's slack to coil away. Nothing needs installing; the connection is plug and play and the operating system handles the rest. Besides printers, the same A-to-B connector is used by flatbed scanners, many all-in-one machines, and a good number of MIDI keyboards and USB audio interfaces and DACs, so it is a useful spare to keep in a drawer. For a home office, a shop counter or a small office where a shared printer moves between desks now and then, a second cable saves unplugging and re-routing the original every time.
