Logitech M221 Silent Wireless Mouse

The Logitech M221 is a compact wireless mouse built around near-silent clicking, for anyone who shares a room, an office or a bedroom with someone who would rather not hear every click. SilentTouch keeps the click over 90% quieter than a standard mouse without softening the feel of the button under your finger. It connects over 2.4GHz wireless through a USB nano receiver at a range of up to 10m, tracks on a 1000 DPI optical sensor, and runs for up to 18 months on a single AA battery. The shell is compact, contoured and ambidextrous, so left- and right-handed users get the same grip, and setup is plug-and-play with no software to install. It works with Windows, macOS, Chrome OS and Linux, and comes in charcoal, blue and red. This is the mouse for a shared desk, a night shift, a library or an office where the person beside you is on a call. The nano receiver stays in the laptop port and is small enough to forget about, and the battery life means changing the cell is a rare event rather than a monthly chore. For browsing, spreadsheets, editing and coursework it is a straightforward upgrade over a cheap wired mouse and its trailing cable.
