HP 305 Black Original Ink Cartridge (3YM61AE)

The HP 305 Black Original Ink Cartridge (3YM61AE) is a genuine standard-capacity black ink cartridge for HP's entry-level DeskJet and DeskJet Plus all-in-one printers. It handles the everyday half of home and small-office printing: letters, forms, class assignments, delivery slips and anything else where the text has to come out sharp and stay legible. The cartridge uses pigment-based black ink with a drop size of 17.9 pl, which is what keeps character edges crisp on plain paper instead of letting them feather. Rated ISO yield is up to 120 pages, and this is the standard-capacity version rather than the XL. It fits the HP DeskJet 2320, 2710, 2720, 2721, 2722, 2723 and 2821, the DeskJet Plus 4120, 4122, 4130 and 4221, and the ENVY 6020e and 6052. The same cartridge is also supplied inside the HP 305 Black and Tri-color combo pack (6ZD17AE). Refilled and imitation 305 cartridges circulate widely, so the sealed genuine unit is the one worth insisting on. Original HP ink is formulated for the print head in these machines, so nozzles stay clear and the printer's own page counter behaves as designed. Pair it with the HP 305 Tri-color cartridge if you print in colour too, and keep a spare in the drawer so a deadline never waits on a trip to the shop.
