A4Tech OP-720 Wired USB Optical Mouse

The A4Tech OP-720 is a wired USB optical mouse for general computing, built to a simple brief: plug it in, point, click, and keep doing that for years. The shell is symmetric and ergonomic, sized for an adult hand without being bulky, and no software or driver is needed to get going. Tracking comes from a 1200 DPI optical sensor tuned for office and home use, steady enough for detailed work in documents and images without feeling twitchy on a large screen. There are 3 buttons and a nearly frictionless, dust-resistant 4-way scroll wheel that handles horizontal as well as vertical scrolling, and 8-in-one gesture commands are available for quick hotkey actions. The switches are rated for a 5 million click lifetime, the USB cable runs to 150cm, and compatibility stretches from Windows XP through to Windows 10 and 11. The body measures roughly 119 x 62 x 37mm and weighs about 86g with the cable. It suits places where a lot of mice are in service at once and none of them can be precious: school and college labs, front offices, back offices, reception desks and home study tables. The long cable reaches a tower parked under the desk, the dust-resistant wheel matters in a room that sees open windows and street air, and the low weight keeps a long session from tiring the wrist.
