Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) 4K UHD Google TV Streaming Media Player

The Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) is a 4K streaming media player that turns any HDMI television into a full Google TV set, whether the panel is a smart model whose software has grown sluggish or an older screen with no apps at all. Inside sits a 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A55 processor running up to 2.5GHz alongside an ARM Mali-G31 GPU, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for apps. That is a gain of 25% on the CPU and 130% on the GPU over the second-generation box, and it shows in how quickly menus draw and apps open. Video output is 4K UHD at 3840×2160 with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG; audio covers Dolby Atmos and DTS:X over HDMI 2.1 for a soundbar or receiver. Connectivity is dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.2, Google TV brings Google Assistant and built-in Chromecast, and the 360-degree Bluetooth voice remote responds without being aimed at the box. The whole unit measures 97x97x17mm and weighs 91.2g. It suits anyone watching Netflix, Prime Video or YouTube on a television who wants the picture at its full resolution instead of a downscaled cast from a phone. Wi-Fi 6 helps in a flat where several devices share one router, and because every app and login lives on the box, moving the setup to another room or a new television is a matter of unplugging one HDMI cable. It is sold with a six-month warranty.
