Vention CDWB0 USB 2.0 Type-A Male to USB Type-C Female Black Adapter (0.15m, PVC)

The Vention CDWB0 is a USB 2.0 Type-A male to USB Type-C female adapter: the reverse-gender piece that lets a Type-C device use the USB-A cables, chargers and car chargers you already own. It is a short in-line adapter of 0.15m in a PVC housing with nickel-plated contacts, finished in black. Data runs at up to 480Mbps to the USB 2.0 specification and it passes up to 3A for charging, so an ordinary USB-A charger or a computer port can feed a Type-C phone or accessory through it. Nothing needs installing, and there is no switch or setting to get wrong. It earns its keep in the gap between older and newer kit: a car charger with only USB-A sockets, a desktop or a bedside plug from before Type-C arrived, a power bank that predates the change, or an office desk still full of USB-A cables. Keep one in a bag or a glovebox and a phone can be charged or a file moved anywhere a USB-A port exists, which is still most places you sit down to work.
