The full spec sheet
The UGREEN CM489 is a plug-and-play HDMI video capture card that turns a games console, a camera or a second PC into a video source your computer can record or livestream. The HDMI source goes into one end, and the card connects straight to a laptop or desktop through either a USB-C or a USB-A connector, so there are no drivers to install and no power brick to find a socket for. The HDMI female input handles sources up to 4K, with passthrough at 4K@60Hz and 4K@30Hz, and records at up to 1080P@30Hz over a USB 2.0 connection rated at 480Mbps. Audio is captured at 24-bit and 48KHz with a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB or better, so commentary and game sound stay clean alongside the picture. The shell is aluminium alloy, which helps it shed heat over a long session, and both the USB-C and USB-A male connectors are built in so it fits older and newer machines alike. It is recognised as a standard capture device on Windows 8.1, 10 and 11, macOS, Linux and Android, and works with OBS, XSplit, PotPlayer and QuickTime as well as ordinary webcam and streaming software. Sources include PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch consoles alongside cameras, which makes it a straightforward pick for streaming, recording a lecture or joining a video call with a proper camera instead of a laptop webcam. A one-year brand warranty is included.
