This is a protective screen film for laptop displays and desktop LCD monitors, supplied cut to a specific screen size rather than as a roll you trim yourself. It shields the panel from scratches, dust scuffs and the general wear a screen picks up from cleaning cloths and daily handling. The film is a thin PET or PVC sheet, roughly 0.1 to 0.2mm thick, in either a clear or an anti-glare matte finish. Two application types are made: a static-cling sheet that goes on dry without adhesive, lifts off cleanly, leaves no residue and can be rinsed and reapplied, and a self-adhesive sheet that is a one-time fit. Sizes are cut to the stated screen diagonal — 14, 15.6 and 17 inches for laptops, and 19, 21.5 and 24 inches for desktop LCD monitors — so order by the size of the screen you are covering. It is easy protection for a machine that gets handled by more than one person: a laptop that travels to campus in a shared bag, a shop or reception counter monitor, or a family desktop. Choose the anti-glare finish for a desk near a window or under bright tube lighting, and the clear finish to keep the panel looking as it does now. Static-cling sheets are the forgiving option if you have not fitted a film before, since a sheet that goes on crooked can be lifted and placed again.
