AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Processor

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is an eight-core AM5 desktop processor built around one priority: frame rates. It is the fastest gaming processor we carry, and the reason is the extra cache stacked onto the die rather than headline clock speed. 8 cores and 16 threads run from a 4.2 GHz base to a 5.0 GHz boost, with 96 MB of L3 delivered by AMD's 3D V-Cache. That cache is the whole point of the chip: game engines punish a processor for going out to system memory, and keeping far more of the working set on the die is what pulls this one ahead in games rather than in workloads that stream through data once and discard it. It runs on AM5 with DDR5-5200 memory and carries a 120 W turbo power rating. There is no cooler in the box, so plan for a decent tower air cooler or an AIO and a case with room for it. Aim this at a high-refresh gaming build where the graphics card is strong enough to be waiting on the processor; for spreadsheets, browsing and general office work it is far more than the job needs, and a smaller chip will feel identical. It comes with 3 years of official warranty.
