ADATA Ultimate SU650 512GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD

The ADATA Ultimate SU650 in 512GB is a 2.5-inch SATA III internal SSD for laptops and desktops moving off a mechanical hard drive. The larger capacity is the version to choose when the machine has to hold Windows, a full set of applications and a working library of documents, photos or project files without constant housekeeping. Capacity is 512GB on a 2.5-inch, 7mm slim chassis, connected over SATA III at 6Gb/s and backward compatible with SATA II and SATA I, so it works in older machines as well as current ones. Sequential reads reach up to 520MB/s and writes up to 450MB/s. The drive uses 3D NAND flash memory with SLC caching, ECC error correction and a DRAM-less design, is rated for shock resistance up to 1500G/0.5ms and an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours, and operates from 0°C to 70°C. It suits a desktop build, a laptop upgrade or an office fleet refresh where the machine is expected to stay in service for years rather than months. The wide operating temperature range and solid-state construction matter in a warm, humid climate and in rooms without steady cooling, and the absence of moving parts means a laptop can be carried, jolted and set down without the risk a spinning disk carries. It comes with a 3 year warranty.
