UGREEN US154 USB Type-C Male to USB 3.0 Type-A Female OTG Adapter Black #30701 (0.15m)

The UGREEN US154 is a USB Type-C to USB 3.0 Type-A OTG adapter: a short converter lead that gives a USB-C phone, tablet or laptop a full-size USB-A socket. Plug it into the Type-C port and the device will read a standard flash drive, or work with a mouse, keyboard, game controller or card reader, with no hub and no software to install. The build is a step up from the usual moulded dongle. An aluminium-alloy shell wraps a tinned-copper core, finished in black, on a 0.15m lead that bends out of the way rather than levering against the port. It follows the USB 3.0 specification, so data moves at up to 5Gbps, quick enough to pull a folder of photographs or a video file off a drive without sitting and waiting. It suits owners of thin laptops that have dropped USB-A altogether, and anyone who wants to move files off a pen drive straight onto a phone or tablet with no computer in between. It works with USB-C phones, tablets and laptops that support OTG. Small enough to live permanently in a laptop sleeve or camera bag, it is the piece that saves a presentation when the file arrives on someone else's USB stick.
