Smart X4 Premier SM12 32GB USB 3.1 Pen Drive

The Smart X4 Premier SM12 is a 32GB USB 3.1 pen drive with a retractable slide connector, made for the ordinary work of carrying documents, photos, presentations and software between machines. There is no cap to lose: push the slider forward to expose the USB Type-A plug, and pull it back when the drive returns to a pocket or bag. Over USB 3.1 it reaches sequential read speeds of up to 100MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 80MB/s. The write figure is the one that shows itself in daily use, since it governs how long you stand at the machine while files are loaded onto the drive. The housing is a light black plastic body built to take everyday handling, and the slide mechanism keeps the connector protected between uses without adding bulk. It comes from Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd., a Bangladeshi accessories brand distributed locally, so it is an easy, inexpensive drive to buy and replace here rather than something ordered from abroad. It suits students carrying assignments to campus labs, offices moving files between desks or out to a printing shop, and anyone who wants a spare drive living permanently in a laptop bag for the moment a file needs to move and the network will not cooperate.
